Dr. Tim McMillin Still Bitter about Being Kicked Off the Filharmonic

SIMPSON – Tonight’s performance by the Filharmonic is a exciting occasion for Simpson students but for one professor on campus? Not so much.

Dr. Tim McMillin, the Department Chair of Music at Simpson, was a member of the group back before they reached the heights of stardom and fame. He met the group via an online mobile a-capella group called “App-capella.”

“He was a great member of the Filharmonic… at least initially,” explained VJ Rosales as he set up for tonight’s show. “We had gotten over his penchant for too-tight pants and the fact he wasn’t Filipino but when we found out he used to have a blonde mullet?”

“That was too much for even us to handle,” continued Rosales.

McMillin, still in denial about the whole thing, has remained bitter ever since the Filharmonic went big on the NBC Show the “Sing-Off” and smash hit “Pitch Perfect 2.”

“It’s hard being in an a capella group, for sure, but I’m still shocked I was dropped. It’s wasn’t my fault we weren’t properly matching vowels or pitches,” said McMillin as he sat reflectively in his office chair. “My only fault was not matching their look, I suppose.”

Remember to catch the Filharmonic tonight at 8:00 PM in the Black Box!
