First-Years Actually Show Up for Residence Life Event (And We’re Only Kidding A Bit)

SIMPSON — This past Labor Day weekend, a rare and surprising event was found taking place in the courtyard outside Barker and Kresge: a large group of first-years participating in a CA floor event.

The event involved a series of quasi-athletic tasks in which the first-years seemed to eagerly be engaged.

“I wasn’t really sure about it at first, but I’ve actually been having quite a bit of fun,” commented one first-year, who quickly rejoined the action before our reporters could ask her name.

The exact number of people who attended is not known, but semi-exaggerated and inflated numbers from the CAs indicate upwards of 20.

At press time, the CAs briefly expressed their joy (and confusion) at the successful outcome of their event, before throwing themselves back to work in cleaning up the sizable mess that their residents had made in the lawn.
